A very handy device indeed. Mostly used for hanging framed 14x18 canvases, so far. Larger, heavier paintings and framed photos are easiest to hang with a helper to handle the object while the other person uses the device to mark the location of the hanger hardware. Very handy in either scenario, a huge improvement over hanging objects the old way; helped me get it right the first time. The built-in spirit levels are very helpful, and the box of assorted hangers that came with the device were much appreciated.
